Acknowledging our position within the world’s fastest-growing religion, it’s crucial to recognize that lack of awareness and understanding amongst ourselves can unfortunately create challenges for our social harmony and the rights we hold. When we don’t fully appreciate Islam within our community misunderstandings can arise. Also, if we aren’t well-informed about the significance of our foundational principles of Islamic rulings and the importance of safeguarding them, it can weaken our collective commitment to harmony.
Unfortunately, a vulnerability arising from varying levels of understanding of Islamic teachings among us Muslims created an environment where religious rulings are sometimes misinterpreted or misused. This internal vulnerability paved a path for anti-Muslim elements to exploit these misunderstandings and undermine our freedoms.
True empowerment stems from a well-informed perspective, firmly rooted in authentic knowledge. Cultivating a deep and insightful understanding of Islamic teachings through rigorous study nurtures an academic and scientific approach to navigating complex issues. This knowledge-based response is firmly backed by understanding of Quran and Sunnah, unlike emotional and impulsive reactions, which can be easily swayed by even a small amount of brainwashing and manipulation. Therefore, strengthening our religious literacy and promoting authentic Islamic Knowledge is crucial to safeguarding our community and protecting our rights
Pursuing a comprehensive education in Islamic studies like BAIS (B.A in Islamic Studies) or PCIS (Preston Course In Islamic studies), online programs offered by Preston International College, becomes a vital necessity for today’s youth. Such a program can equip young Muslims with the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to navigate complex issues, understand their faith deeply, and effectively counter misinformation, thereby empowering them to protect their rights and contribute positively to society.
The benefits of seeking knowledge in Islamic studies are not limited to this life, Dunya. They extend far beyond, reaching into our future, into the Hereafter, the Aakhira.
