1. What is the procedure to join Preston International College?

2. What is BAIS & MAIS about?

BAIS is Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies offered by Tamil Nadu Open University & Recognised by UGC. Students are taught a variety of Subjects like Aqeedah, Arabic, Fiqh, Seerah, Tafseer, EVS, Psychology & Teaching Methodology, Islamic Guidelines to Modern Issues, etc.

MAIS is Master of Arts in Islamic Studies offered by Tamil Nadu Open University & Recognised by UGC. Students are taught a variety of Subjects like Arabic , Fiqh, Principles of Qur’aan & Hadeeth, Research Methodology, Da’wah & Tarbiyyah, Islamic Banking & Finance, etc.

3. With which University is the college Affiliated?

Our college is recognized by Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) and is an authorized Community College. Please Refer TNOU Prospectus on www.tnou.ac.in

4. Are these degrees issued by TNOU equal to other degrees?

Yes. TNOU follows Open & Distance Learning Mode for its degrees and courses. Please click here to read the UGC Notification stating that all courses/programmes offered such ODL institutions are treated at par with any other University equivalent.

5. How is the class and campus?

All the classrooms have AC and projectors. Classrooms are in-built with good sound proofing and updated mike and speakers. For quality teaching, faculties use projectors to display presentations & videos, which helps students to understand the various concepts better. Partitioned classrooms & exclusive Entry/Exit points separate Students of different Genders while the Faculty addresses both of them simultaneously.

6. Is it possible to take a look at the campus and its facilities?

We welcome you to a campus walk, where you would be shown a model classroom, masjid, library, office room, etc.

7. Is Transport provided?

Transport facility is available for girl students and is currently provided by our transport partners for all routes. Cost, pick up & drop point will be fixed by the Transport Operator.

8. Do you have Hostel facility?

Hostel facility is currently outsourced. However, should we get considerable number of requests, we are looking at our hostel facility in the near future in shaa Allaah.

9. Is scholarship available?

Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria (both Financial & Academic) can apply for Scholarship after paying the First Term Fee. However the percentage of scholarship granted (from the Second Term Fee) will be decided and informed during the month of November based on availability of Funds and the Academic performance of the student over the period of study.

14. Can the student do BAIS via Distance stream?

Working Professionals who could not afford to do BAIS in regular stream can do BAIS in distance. Students shall be given books and they shall write University exams.
